With an accumulated sailing experience of approximately half a million NM, blending rigorous cruising expertise from Merchant marine and premium Guests service and care from the highest standards of Superyacht industry.

I transitioned from Commercial shipping to yachting in 2004, with over five years of global navigation (including multiple Oceans and Suez Canal crossings).

For each of my assignments at sea, I have a proven leadership aboard prestigious vessels as either a Captain or Chief Officer, including Staff Captain positions o/b the then world’s 3^rd largest yacht (162m LOA & 12.488 GT) and an explorer passenger ship (142m LOA & 10.944 GT), ensuring onboard immediate effectiveness.

Additionally to docking and undocking the above mentioned 162m MY without pilot, I also have manoeuvring practices on a 65m Motor Yacht with AZIPOD propulsion and driving skills o/b over 30.000 GT Containerships.

In the meantime, I successfully executed relief or delivery roles across strategic locations including the Persian Gulf, with a focus on Qatar and United Arab Emirates, as well as East Asian hubs in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Often navigating extensive routes encompassing the China Sea, Australian maritime regions and Singapore, showcasing adaptability and navigational expertise. I also completed a high-profile charter in the Maldives to Thailand, demonstrating exceptional route planning and client satisfaction.

Spearheaded a comprehensive 10-month yacht refit, where I had to deal with various aspects of ship’s repairs and gained extensive experience in ship repair and refurbishment processes.

I always prioritized strong command and organisational skills for optimal team performance. During all these years, I continuously improved professional expertise to exceed expectations in a Master/Senior Officer role within your fleet.

I have expertise in high-precision navigation systems, surveying, dry docking and maintenance management systems. Comprehensive knowledge of the latest maritime regulations, ISM and ISPS systems, as well as being comfortable and aware of onboard cybersecurity issues. I have a strong analytical vision, adept at leading teams and devising solutions, with a resourceful approach in critical situations.

Lately, I became GMDSS Simulator Instructor and contributed as well to lessons as a trainer for a nautical school close to Antibes, including but not limited to training, conducting revalidation programs of pleasure boat licenses (coastal/offshore) and professional certifications (Captain 500 GT). Therefore, I am open to leveraging maritime instructional skills in a shore-based role within yachting management or nautical education sectors.
