The summary of my career at sea can be seen as a combination of extensive and rigorous cruising experience from Merchant marine
and top-quality Guests service and care from the highest standards of Superyacht industry.
Coming from Commercial shipping and after more than five years
of worldwide navigation (including various Oceans and Suez Canal crossings), I got the opportunity in 2004 to shift to yachting.
For each of my assignments at sea, I fully dedicated myself as either a Captain or Chief Officer o/b various ships sizes, including Staff Captain
positions o/b the then world’s 3rd
largest yacht (162m LOA & 12.488 GT) and an explorer passenger ship (142m LOA & 10.944 GT),
to accomplish and ensure that onboard operations were executed safely and professionally.
Additionally to docking and undocking the above mentioned 162m MY without pilot,
I also have manoeuvring practices on a 65m Motor Yacht with AZIPOD propulsion and driving skills o/b over 30.000 GT Containerships.
In the meantime, I achieved some relief or delivery positions too and I was based for a while in Persian Gulf,
mainly in Qatar and United Arab Emirates, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Often sailing between China Sea, Australian waters and Singapore.
I also did a charter in Maldives which ended up in Thailand.
Important to notice that one of my previous yachts has undergone a major 10-month refit in a shipyard,
where I had to deal with various aspects of ship’s repairs and this allowed me to see and learn much more about refits.
I always empowered my skills to lead a team to its objective and
found essential to prioritize my sense of command, responsibilities and organisation.
During all these years, I strengthened my leadership and enhanced my professionalism and performances
in order to excel in my next challenge as a Master/Senior Officer.
I can be resourceful when the situation requires.
Team player and stress-resistant are also parts of my personality.
With my expertise in high precision navigation systems, surveys, dry docking and maintenance management systems,
I am immediately effective onboard your precious vessel.
Through open communications, I guarantee a proactive approach to maintain the planned objectives.
Please note that being familiar with the latest maritime regulations, ISM and ISPS systems,
as well as being comfortable and aware of onboard cybersecurity issues, I would also consider working ashore for a yachting management company.
